IBI Publishing Presents . . . How to Get a Job Playing Pro Basketball Overseas
Now YOU can finally learn the most effective and proven ways to break into the exciting and lucrative world of professional basketball overseas. Dear Aspiring Professional Basketball player, Did you know that there are over 6500 new paid opportunities for men and women to play professional basketball abroad each year? With such benefits as high income potential well into seven figures, car, housing, freedom, travel, independence as well as the opportunity to play basketball against some of the best competition in the world, it’s no wonder so many individuals are seeking these opportunities. Who wouldn’t want to have a dream job where good many can be made doing something you love. There are the opportunities to travel to countries all across the globe and get paid well while doing so. Does this sound good so far? While this all sounds great there are some realities to deal with. The problem is breaking in. So, if you have decided to pursue a professional basketball career overseas, you just might be asking yourself; “Where do I start?” “How does one break into the overseas game?” “How do I open all of the closed doors that I’ve been facing?” These are very common questions among those who want jobs playing basketball overseas. Assuming that you’ve played in college since it is usually one of the unwritten requirements of International professional teams & clubs, the business will still seem tightly closed to most outsiders. Job openings that are worth anything are not posted where they’ll be found easily. You’ll have to search. The Internet is a great way to locate some openings, however each posted job will result in HUNDREDS of resumes and profiles from interested players. Competition is extremely fierce for basketball playing jobs as many team’s, general mangers and agents are continuously flooded with piles of resumes and profiles. This often leads to other questions such as:
Some job openings may state that positions are only open to those who played at the division one level or have at least a year of professional experience leading to more questions such as:
Maybe you might be in a situation where you actually attend a few tryout camps, but end up discouraged during the process because you’ve paid several hundred dollars to attend with dozens of other players and didn’t feel you got a chance to show your talents or there were no decision makers in attendance. If you did not play college basketball in a major division I conference, you’ll likely experience many obstacles leaving you nothing but a feeling of hopelessness. Let’s face it, the overseas game is very hard to get into, but not impossible. Many players have given up trying and abandoned all hopes of that dream job overseas. Does this sound familiar to you? So the million-dollar question remains… just HOW do you get that first job overseas? Don’t worry because there is hope as you are about to discover! Fortunately, there ARE players out there from mid-major conferences to the smaller college divisions such as NCAA II, NAIA, and NCAA III who are successfully breaking into the overseas game. These players are getting their foot in the door playing for their first overseas team and reaping all of the benefits from such a career. Wouldn’t you want to be in this group of players too? Would you think that players just like you have found their first ever overseas basketball job by sheer luck? Has you own job-hunting experience so far been just plain unlucky? The answer is no. It is not just a matter of luck. In order to successfully break into the overseas game, you simply have to know HOW. You need to know WHERE to find job opportunities, WHO can help you and WHAT steps to take for an effective as well as realistic job search. So let me repeat again, you need to know HOW, WHERE, WHO and WHAT. You must know how to open doors. There are a lot of closed doors in the overseas basketball game. If you can’t get inside the front door, you need to use the side and back doors. You have to know where to find all possible doors leading to your dream job. Standard profiles and highlight tapes just won’t do. You can’t use just any profile and highlight tape to get noticed. Profiles must include specific information and be written for people making hiring decisions. You have to know WHAT TO INCLUDE and WHAT NOT TO INLCUDE in your profile in order to draw the attention of potential agents who can help you or coaches and GM’s in hiring positions. You must shine during any tryout opportunity. You must effectively counter any background shortfalls that could look like a liability to coaches or agents. I can help you overcome the obstacles that stand in your way from securing that dream job of playing professional basketball overseas. Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Anthony Williams and I have worked in college and professional basketball for over 15 years in the following roles;

I can teach YOU everything you need to know in order for you to get your first overseas basketball job including the HOW, WHERE, WHO and WHAT.
